"Hope" is the thing with feathers-
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune without the words-
And never stops-at all-
And sweetest-in the Gale-is heard-
And sore must be the storm-
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm-
I've heard it in the chillest land-
And on the strangest Sea-
Yet, never, in Extremity,
it asked a crumb-of Me.
-Emily Dickinson
That pretty much sums it up (at least for Emily and me). Hope is something that gives to us and never takes from us. It adds to us. It encourages us. It drives us. Hope is air for the psyche!
Now for my "theme" of the A to Z Challenge:
Today's homophone...
Here (adverb) in this place; in this spot or locality.
For example: Here is great place to start reading the blogs for the A to Z Blogging Challenge.
Hear (verb) to learn by ear or by being told
For example: Did you hear the sweet sound of the email notification?
