Do you have a favorite children’s book? Either one that you loved as a child, or one that you discovered later, and still enjoy? Tell us about it!
I have a confusion to make. I could not stand to read when I was growing up. My mom, who loves books, who read to me though. Both my parents were and still are avid readers. I can remember her reading all the Little Golden Books to me. The Pokey Little Puppy, The Little Engine that could, and all the Mother Goose stories.
I tend to remember more of my oldest son's books. His absolute favorite of all time was a little tiny book called "Roger Poger Upside Down Day
" by Ren Wright. He loved this book so much I had to buy it twice. I'll admit it was my favorite of all the books the three of my sons went through.

The tempo, the flow, the humor, and the excitement in the eyes of my then four year old, all made my love for this book so deep that I can't remember my childhood favorite.
On a side note, it wasn't until I was an adult that I found out how much I was missing by not getting lost in the pages of a book. Of all the things I could change from my youth, reading is the single thing I would have changed. I would have read everything I could have got my hands on.
***Edit: After thinking I remembered the book that made a huge impression on me when I was
younger. "The Selfish Giant
" by Oscar Wilde. I remember being so touched by the little boys effect on the mean ol' Giant's heart. I have never read The Selfish Giant. It sounds like a nice story for young children. I like Cinderella, because it has a happily ever after ending. I love stories with happy endings. I suppose that comes from my love of the Cinderella stories.
