What face is this?
Etched upon a faded page
A photo of a small child it seems
Mesmerized by an image unseen
Wide eyes searching
Pursed lips, titled head,  
Longing eyes, wrinkled forehead
Expressing curiosity
Or perhaps desire.
Desire for what lies behind the camera’s eye.
A Mother? A  Father? A treat perhaps?
